Christian Friis has a way with women, in photography and in life. He has an ease about him and a natural charm which literally knocks the socks (and many other garments) off many of his subjects. Having said that, most of Christian´s work in fashion finds his subjects fully or partially clothed and his work in commercial photography almost always so. We are therefore very privileged to access this vein of his work which, though seldom seen, is arguably his strongest suit. His representation of women is always beautiful and empowering, strong, naive and often quite romantic. Born in Denmark in 1971, we happily anticipate his long career and, concurrently, his ongoing ode to Woman.
